The name 'Islam' means 'submission'. A Muslim is a follower of the religion Islam. He/she must submit to the will of Allah.

He/she must study the Qur'an and live by the instructions and teachings recorded in it.

He/she must pray daily, fast during the month of Ramadan and give generously to charity.

He/she should make a pilgrimage to Makkah at least once in his/her lifetime. Makkah is in Saudi Arabia.
