What are the effects or Acid Rain?
The effects of acid rain are widespread and dispersed far from the source of the pollution due to the prevailing winds.
Acid rain also runs into to lakes and streams raising the acidity of the water to the level where organisms can't survive. In Scandinavia whole forests have been destroyed from acid rain.
Buildings and monuments can also be affected as some building made of materials such as marble will be slowly desoled by the acid.
